Sometimes it's good to remember what our flag symbolizes. Not only does this flag represent our great freedom, the freedom of speech and religion, but it also represents the liberty to think for ourselves and act for ourselves. The stripes represent the 13 original colonies upon which this nation was founded. The 50 white stars are a representation of our 50 states. On our flag, the blue stands for vigilance and justice, the red for valor and stamina, and the white stands for purity and innocence.
